Régnier’s chair : slow design 100% wood

07/02/2019

More ethics and ecology in the market of plywood chair

With the green awareness increasingly present in our consumer habits, Régnier question the impact of this mindset on our methods of production. The purchaser, the planner or the agencer is taking back control of their purchaces, with interest in ethical and traceable solutions.

All of Régnier’s products are PEFC certified, ensuring the traceability of the wood used which is sourced from sustainably managed forests. A green production that promotes local economic and social development and finishes all of its products by hand.

The quality of our raw material guarantees optimal preservation of the finished molded plywood product : strength, dimensional preservation, water and fire resistance and ultimately guarantees to produce a better end product.

In the movement of slow design

The slow design trend started in the early 2000s and consists to recycle, use a minimum of raw materials to limit waste, to use the least polluting production methods possible, among others.

At Régnier nothing is lost, everything is transformed ! Our raw materials are exploited at 100%, allowing us to guarantee a waste-free management. The Aube factory recycles all of the scrap wood which is then used to power the factory’s boiler.

Revaluation of expertise and craftmanship

Concretely, the Virtuous trend means placing humans as the center of concern, notably during the production process. Treasuring the artisanal, the meaning of work, the passing-on of expertise and cultural heritage are important factors in all sectors of the home market:  tableware, household linens, accessories and decorative objects, furniture

Régnier is proud to perpetuate its team’s expertise, which has been handed down from one generation to the next, all the while staying up-to-date on the latest mechanical engineering innovations.
